As these are meant to be implanted long term in the body, stainless steel is NOT recommended under any circumstances for the anchor. The threaded end comes in your choice of 4mm or 5mm cast stainless steel screw. The threaded bolt is crafted in 316L stainless steel which can be used safely as they will not be in contact with the dermal layers of the skin.
