I've had my tongue pierced and theres a problem

I've had my tongue pierced for 3 weeks now I have a tongue piercing problem and it is still swollen. I thought I followed aftercare procedures perfectly. Is something wrong?

You most likely followed the aftercare. I don't know what kind of piercer you had. But they could have been wrong in the piercing process. They could have given you a short barbell to start off with. I would go to another piercing parlor and check with them. I would also keep up on your salt-soaks, icing a lot, and don't eat spicy foods, and rinse every time something goes in your mouth, besides water.
